I created this calculator: https://schengenareacalc.web.app/ to comply with the Schengen 90/ 180 day rule. I will appreciate feedback and to hear what kind of things can be improved here. I recently added a feature to share your trip with friends

Love the clean UI and the share link idea. A few high‑impact tweaks that would make this a go‑to tool:

What‑if planner: let me drag a timeline or enter a tentative trip and instantly see remaining days and the earliest safe re‑entry date.
Rolling window visualization: a 180‑day strip with each day colored in/out and stays highlighted. Makes “why am I out of days?” obvious.
Edge‑case toggles: entry/exit day counting explainer, overnight flights, internal Schengen flights, special territories (Canary Islands/Azores OK; Svalbard, Faroe Islands, Greenland not Schengen; microstates follow FR/IT). Tooltips with sources.
Countries list hygiene: keep an always‑updating note on tricky ones (e.g., Ireland not Schengen; Liechtenstein/Switzerland/Norway/Iceland are; French overseas not). A small “is this trip counted?” helper would be gold.
Residence permits/national D visas: option to mark time in that issuing country as exempt from 90/180 for other states, with a big caveat and link to official guidance.
Privacy and sharing: expiring/revocable share links, levels (view only vs editable), and a “hide exact dates” mode that shows totals and compliance without revealing every day.
Save/sync: local storage by default plus optional sign‑in or passcode link to sync across devices; export/import as CSV/ICS; “export a PDF for border check” summary.
Alerts: choose a buffer (e.g., keep 5 days spare) and get a warning when a planned itinerary dips below it; optional email/ICS reminders for latest safe exit.
Accessibility/mobile: keyboard‑only flow, dark mode, large tap targets, quick‑add from a stamp list, and offline PWA support for airport use.
Validation: a “show my math” debug panel and a one‑click compare against the official EU short‑stay calculator so users trust the output.

This already feels close-add the visual timeline and what‑if mode and it’ll beat most calculators out there.

Thanks for the tips. You can see remaining days on the right panel. It shows you how many days are left in every window and it shows you the rolling window visualization. Not sure I understand the third built with the edge cases. "Countries list hygiene" is also a bit confusing to me. The list has only counties that are in the schengen.
